About Me
Professional Wedding Celebrant
Hello and welcome to The Travelling Celebrants! My name is Victoria and as the name of my website suggests, I offer a bespoke ceremony that isn't restricted to any particular location or venue. Whether your ceremony is overseas, in a field, or on a beach I travel to you, to perform a tailor made ceremony that is personal and exclusive.
Formally trained by the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, I currently reside in Surrey, conveniently based near Gatwick Airport.
I am a fun loving Celebrant with a great sense of humour coupled with the skills that you would expect from a professional; attention to detail, extremely communicative with a willingness to go that extra mile, leaving no stone unturned to make your ceremony an unforgettable experience that you will cherish for years to come!
How does it work?
First Meeting
using Skype or Zoom
Our first chance to meet and get to know one another and for you to decide if I’m the right person to guide you through your ceremony. If you’re happy to go ahead, I book the date out in my diary and send across a short questionnaire.
Second Meeting
3-4 months to go
The next step is usually a face to face meeting 3 to 4 months before your wedding day. Some clients prefer to continue via Skype or Zoom if more convenient. This is where I get to know the real you! We discuss and plan your special event from specific readings, music and poems or any symbolic content you might like to include.
Writing "Your Story"
I then write ‘your story’ which becomes a big part of the Ceremony and this draft is sent to you to check the fine details and to make sure you’re happy with it. Once you’re happy, you can choose whether you would like to write your own personal Vows and whether I can assist you with these (even if just one of you needs help!).
Rehearsal
and final touches
At any point during the planning I am always very happy to hear from you. We can rehearse the ceremony beforehand to make you feel more comfortable with it or we can leave it for your special day. This whole process is about you and the love between you.
Your Special Day
On the day, I will be there to deliver your perfect ceremony in the presence of your invited guests! I only ever conduct one wedding per day so we have all the time you want.
